A luxury kitchen company struggling to compete against the big fish in the pond.
A company providing a very specific, yet crucial, service within the construction industry.
My on-page SEO experience consists of keyword implementation, written content, updating meta information, internal linking and technical/health optimisation.
Off-page SEO is a sort of ‘Digital PR’. To do this, a collection of backlinks, varying in quality, will improve your websites authority and overall visibility.
As a data led marketer, all of my strategies and decisions are made on the back of my reports and finding. Take a look at my reporting and analytics portfolio for more.
When conducting keyword research for any company, I typically start off by understanding what keywords the company is already ranking for and what their competitors are ranking for in comparison. By doing this, I can identify areas of opportunity and know where my time would be most fruitful in the earlier stages of the SEO campaign.
To make positive changes to webpage, I do a variety of different things depending on the issues that the page is struggling with. In this example here, you will a sufficient meta title, description and a heading structure that aligns with SEO best practice. Notice the ‘Author’ is not me, but the owner of the business. This helps to build brand authenticity for the content. This author profile is visible within the blog itself.
You will also see an example of the blog page. You can find more examples of my work on my written copy portfolio page.
Once I’ve decided the keywords I want to track, I input my keyword lists into a tracking tool like SEMRush or Campaign monitor. This allows me to check in on the progress of the keywords I am aiming and keep an eye on those that are struggling.
The example below was taken over a 6 month period, when the client onboarded vs 6 months on.
Regular health and technical audits play a part in a websites performance in search engine ranking positions (SERP). Depending on the size of the business, health and technical audits will vary. To perform my audits, I’ve used tools such as Screaming Frog, Content King and SEMrush, although I personally find Screaming Frog to be the best.
The example below utilises information pulled from Screaming Frog. The work then would be distributed between an SEO and a developer accordingly. This would be followed by various other sheets highlighting the problem pages.
